Our conversation and Ellen's readings will focus on the ways that Ellen has explored her experiences of visual impairment, both in her wide-ranging creative practice and in her advocacy work.
Audiences will be able to interact and ask questions via the online chatbox, which will be monitored. Online audiences will not be able to communicate with the event via microphone or video.
Ellen Renton is a writer from Edinburgh. She has written two pamphlets of poetry: An Eye For An Eye For An Eye (Stewed Rhubarb Press 2021) and You and Yours (Verve Press 2026). Her work in theatre has included the one-woman show Within Sight (2020), Disciples (2023), and PALS (in development in 2026). She has released an EP and the album My Noise is Nothing with electronic musician Lord of the Isles. She holds an MA in Creative Writing: Poetry from the University of East Anglia.

This event is for ages 16+ and will be held online. You will need a good internet connection and a laptop/computer/mobile device to join us.
There will be 16 attendees in person and 20 attendees online maximum, and the event will feature comfort breaks. During this event, attendees will participate in: Talk / Lecture, Reading, Q&A
