Glasgow Zine Library are looking to support community groups who would be interested in running their events or gatherings in our space as part of our 2026-27 Community Led Programme.

The Community Led Programme is made up of events and groups run by and for members of our local community. These events are volunteer-run and free to attend. This open call will allow organisers and groups to express interest in using the space monthly over the coming season which will run from April 2026 to March 2027.

We want to hear from established community groups as well as those who are interested in creating a group for the first time with the support of the Zine Library. Our community programme has housed many different groups from reading groups, solidarity groups, creative groups and support groups – there is no right or wrong type of group, if there’s something you want to make happen, we’re excited to hear about it.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 23rd January 2026 at 5pm.

As part of the Community Led Programme, the library will provide, for free:
- access to the space, promotion of events,
- a staff member to oversee the event,
- access to materials,
- snacks and refreshments, and
- training/development opportunities for your group. 

Groups will be guaranteed a year of monthly events, with the ability to reapply for the next season in March 2027.

Monthly Community Led Groups will be given the option to meet at the library on either Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.

What we're looking for from our Community-Led groups:
– a clear idea of how you wish to use the space
– alignment with our values – that DIY creativity is a tool for empowerment, resistance, and collective joy
– A commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
– A regular attendance of 5 or more (we have an absolute minimum of 3 attendees for an event to go ahead)
– A respect for the library, collection and staff
– An interest in using this opportunity to build your experience and receive training in running groups, building community, and facilitation
