Community Led Programme
The community led programme is made up of events and groups run by and for members of our local community. These events are volunteer-run and free to attend.
If you are interested in using the library to host a community group or event, please get in touch. At the moment, we are mostly booked up so can only offer space for one-off or weekday daytime activities.
Upcoming Community Led events:
The DIY Animation Club is a space to gather together and play with images, movement, and sound. No experience is necessary to join–each of us is learning through experimentation! We share ideas, tips, and skills. We might be working on our own fragments of bigger projects, or spontaneous scrappy snippets together!
Trans Writes is a creative writing group for anyone who identifies as trans or non-binary. We welcome writers of all levels, including those who want to try writing for the first time. Together we'll explore trans identity and creative expression; this is a space for you to experiment, whether you’re writing something serious, something playful, or something in-between.
Join us for a night of creativity and expression in the heart of Glasgow's Southside. Whether you're a seasoned performer or trying out the mic for the first time, this event is the perfect opportunity to share your voice and connect with fellow artists.
Have you got an application you really need to finish… but you just can’t quite sit down and do it? Application Hub is just the ticket. These monthly sessions take the power of body doubling to run as a two-hour focus group using a gentle Pomodoro structure: we’ll set goals together, do short bursts of deep work, check in with each other, and end with a short moment to decompress.
Learning to code? Working on a project? Working on a game? Want to start coding but don’t know where? Need help figuring out particular software? These monthly meetups are a chance to share and discuss any coding-related projects with a group of like-minded peers.
