Migrants Made Glasgow: Walking Tour with Radical Glasgow Tours

  • Glasgow Green Greendyke Street Glasgow, Scotland, G1 5DB United Kingdom (map)

Please note: this event will be held in person.

This is the story of a city, told through the lives of those who were not born, but became, Glaswegians. From its mythical founding by its twin patron saints St Thenew and her son St Mungo, the life of Glasgow has always been created by migrants. This tour introduces you to a few of them. Uncover Glasgow's vibrant past and present struggles with Radical Glasgow Tours - know your history and resist far-right lies about the past.

Attendees will be gifted a zine that shares information about some of the people discussed on the tour, contextualised by a narrative about why it is important to celebrate migrant histories.

CW: Experiences of forced migration, police brutality, sexual violence, loss and exploitation

This event is part of Refugee Festival Scotland.
