Lizzie Quirke is a mixed-media artist based in Dennistoun, with an illustration background, who now focuses on abstraction and texture. She combines both digital and traditional printing techniques—such as lino-cut, Photoshop effects, spray paint, paint drips, and collage—to create playful, vibrant and multi-dimensional work.

Currently, Lizzie is exploring the intersection of shape, prose, and mark-making, often incorporating printed sentences into her compositions.

As a Digital and Graphic Designer by trade, Lizzie brings a strong understanding of colour and form to her artwork. Creating abstract pieces feels like solving a puzzle which contrasts from the rigidity of her day-job.

Inspired by Heather Day's concept of "intentionality paired with chaos," Lizzie's praxis mirrors a balance we need in life: a foundation of purpose and intention, with room for spontaneity. She is passionate about accidental marks, wonky shapes and scratches.

Her work is about balance and rejuvenation—equal parts emotive and indulgent, yet structured.
