Different Ways of Seeing: a creative writing workshop series (Part 1)

  • Glasgow Zine Library 32-34 Albert Road Glasgow, Scotland, G42 8DN United Kingdom (map)

Please note: this event will be held in person. Click to book Part 2 and Part 3.

Join poet Ellen Renton for a series of three writing workshops which will help you to find new ways of engaging with your senses. Combining learnings from Ellen's own artistic practice and her lived experience of visual impairment, each session will encourage you to challenge your own personal and cultural relationship with vision through a series of gentle writing tasks.

The first session will focus on ’the hierarchy of the senses’, as we consider ways that we can de-centre sight in our writing practice

Participants are encouraged to join every session, but you are also welcome to sign-up to individual sessions if you prefer. These sessions are open to all,not just those with lived experience of disability/visual impairment.

CW: (Potentially) ableism
